Our Practice
Harvey Counseling is a private practice owned by Angela Harvey, MA, LPC. We believe that the first step in change is admitting that you need help. Counseling is a great way to get the help you need with the assistance of a trained professional guiding you through the process of change in a nonjudgmental way. The overall goal is to assist you, your family, or your child with having a better quality of life.
Our Staff

Angela Harvey, MA, LPC
Angela Harvey is a seasoned healthcare professional with over 16 years of experience. Angela has eight years of experience working in the mental health field, counseling children ages 6 and up, teenagers, and adults as a Licensed Professional Counselor. Angela currently treats clients 13 years old and older.
Angela has experience working with individuals, couples, and families. Additionally, she has worked with individuals on probation and parole, children in the Department of Juvenile Justice, children in foster care, and individuals with disabilities and special needs.
She is skilled in Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. She is also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Angela is super excited to assist you in gaining full wellness.

Jessica Nichols, MS, LPC, RPT
Jessica is certified in AutPlay, a Registered Play Therapist, and a Licensed Professional Counselor who loves to see others grow and become emotionally stable. Jessica treats children and adolescents ages 3 years old to 18 years old. She earned her MS in Counseling from Missouri State University.
Her clients include children and adolescents, as well as their parents during family sessions. She enjoys utilizing the energy and creativity that comes with working with children and teens to assist them in navigating difficult times.
Her work with children and adolescents enables her to use play therapy and cognitive-behavioral therapy. She is also very skilled in dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, and art therapy. During individual sessions, family sessions, and in-group parenting classes, Jessica enjoys assisting parents in developing skills to encourage their children to live their best lives. Jessica genuinely enjoys working with children and believes that integrating family therapy allows the entire family system to change and grow.
She is more than delighted to collaborate with you and accompany you on this journey

Kimberly Gibson, Intern
Kimberly has experience in the mental health field working with children 5 years of age and older, teenagers, and adults providing counseling. Kimberly has treated clients in individual sessions and assisted in couples and family sessions. In addition to working with individuals and families. Kimberly treats clients 12 years old and older.
Kimberly is 24-year Air Force retiree who feels her military background would
benefit other veterans seeking services.

Layla, Animal Assisted Therapy Dog
Layla is currently in training with a professional therapy dog trainer. Layla still needs to learn some skills to pass her therapy dog certification test. First up will be the American Kennel Club’s Canine Good Citizen test
